Better than expected!!!
The actual product is a bit different from the one on the images. My iPhone is black, and I thought the case would make it look white (which I didn't want), but it is transparent enough so you can see the phone is black. Better than expected, no doubt!!!

Great case especially for the price. Looks great on the phone. I was looking for a case that I would be able to take the phone in and out with ease so I can use the phone in an arm band. This case makes it easy to go back and forth between my case and arm band.

Not good. Get the Mophie.
I own a Mophie, but needed a second battery pack in a hurry, and Amazon had this in stock. It seemed like a good deal, and I liked the use of the iPhone cable for sync/charge.

That's all I liked.

Why?

First, battery life was lousy. Less than two extra hours. The Mophie Juice Pack powered my 3G (and now my 3GS) for at least three hours, and often more.

Second, poor construction. The phone slides into the case, and then is secured by a wafer-thin plastic bezel; the bezel attaches with a few tiny plastic legs. The bezel will fall off - mine did, in my bag, in my pocket, all the time - and is so flimsy that I can't imagine it not eventually breaking, sooner rather than later.

Third, size. The thing is massive. It turns your iPhone into a paperback book (OK, that's a bit of an exaggeration, but for the battery life you get, again, there are plenty of better options.)

Don't buy this.

Product flaw, breaks at the headphone jack after a month.
I went through 2 of these covers in one month and had to return both of them to BestBuy because of the same issue. This product is almost completely excellent except for one fatal flaw. The Incase line design goes through the hole of the headphone jack creating an incredibly weak spot that WILL break open in about a month. Mine broke a bit faster than most. This is issue is being reported in basically all sites that allow you to rate this product and InCase does not look like they've addressed or recalled the cover since they started receiving the complaints. In fact they expanded the colors available to about 9 now, though I don't know if the new ones have the same problem. CHECK the case before you but it! If you see the line that goes through the cover DO NOT buy it!

Aside from that the cover is gorgeous and smooth. It feels fantastic on your hand and absorbs the temperature of the phone so it never gets overly hot. The only other issue I had with it is trivial, it gets stuck to your pocket when you try to get it out and that can be slightly annoying, but it's rubber and it will happen. It will also stretch out a bit from the time you buy it but not enough where it compromises the protection aspect of the cover. Your iPhone will not slip out of the cover in any circumstance. It's a bit expensive at $30 but in comparison to the iPhone it's not over the top expensive.

I have been using an InCase slider instead, it's solid but it gets the job done. Incase, fix your cases before your reputation gets affected by this flawed product. Nobody will pay $30 for something that lasts less than a month.

A Badly Designed Case
I loved the case for the first month I had it. It felt sturdy, yet not excessively bulky.

However, after about a month, I noticed that the rubber was either warping or deteriorating. There were gaps in the case where it didn't fit snugly against the phone. The deterioration of the rubber caused the rubber to snap around the headphone jack. I've handled my phone with kid gloves, so I'm confident the problem is with the case. If you read other reviews of this case, this is not an isolated problem...the problem with the rubber material is widespread.

This wouldn't be such a problem if the company had any customer service at all. The website boasts of a 1 year warranty on this product. However, two emails to customer service have gone with absolutely no response.

Buyer beware with this product and this company!

EDIT: They finally sent a replacement case....which broke down in the same manner as the original one. Don't waste your money.

Liked it but broke at headphone jack after a few months of use.
I loved this case when I first got it. It fits well, has holes in all the right places, and even a nice bumpy cover over the volume buttons. It's thin enough to not make the phone bulkier but substantial enough that I didn't worry about cracking my phone when I dropped it a few times. It did cause the phone to stick to my pocket a bit, but that didn't bother me - it helped the phone not fall OUT of my pocket too.

Ok, so that's the good stuff. The bad stuff - it's now broken. I've had it 6 months, which is longer than some other reviewers here, but it broke in exactly the same place (at the headphone jack hole). After reading these reviews I've stopped feeling guilty about breaking it - it's totally a design flaw.

Sooo, bottom line: it's great if you don't play with it or take it on and off the phone much.

Cork iPhone Case a Lifesaver
I first saw this case on an iPhone 2G belonging to a colleague of mine. Since I am in the wine business, I knew I had to have one. It is as protective & functional as it is beautiful! I have a tendency to drop my phone on occasion, and this case offered amazing protection! Additionally, unlike 'skin' type cases that do not easily slide in and out of a pocket or a bag, the cork is smooth enough to easily slide, yet has a little bit of traction, unlike smooth plastic. I have had my 2G iPhone since day 1 of the Apple release and have gone through a lot of cases..this is definitely the best one yet!

Incipio Bond Street Leather Holster Case for iPhone 3G (Black)

Not compatible with iPhone 3GS; may cause damage
Because of the electronic compass (magnetometer) in the iPhone 3GS, any case with a magnetic latch (like this one) is incompatible and may even damage the iPhone. Every time this case is used, the iPhone compass will have to be recalibrated, at the very least. (So any feature using the compass would be affected.) Searching the Apple support forums re: whether the iPhone would be physically and permanently damaged was inconclusive.

After I used the case just once, my iPhone 3GS behaved erratically for several hours (constantly asking to be turned off, over and over and over; even waking from sleep when it hadn't been touched for a half hour or more, and trying to shut down. Restarting the iPhone, syncing it, and even doing a hard reset several times did not help. Fortunately, its behavior went back to normal by the next day, but I never used the case again. I'll try to find a non-magnetic case, but those are harder to come by.

This case should not be described as suitable for iPhone 3GS.

Horrible Product!! DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a very cheaply made holster. I put my iPhone in it twice and the side flap tore away from the holster. It is not leather as advertised. It is a very cheap vinyl. Do not buy this product. You will be highly disappointed. If I could give this product a zero rating I would. You have been warned.

What's that smell?
Item is sticky at the seams, and smells horrible. I can't imagine this is real leather as described. Very disappointed.

very cheap piece of plastic
What a very cheap, cheap, easily breakable plastic piece of crap.It's not what was described in this item. I was expecting a clear RUBBER cover but what I received was a cheap plastic piece of junk that anybody could buy from any dollar store. I threw it away immediately knowing that it could just scratch my iPhone, the minute I tried this on .Don't you ever dare to try this one. A total waste of money! I should have donated that money I used plus the shipping charge to anything.

Overall, I am very satisifed with this seller's products and therefore taking my time to write a brief review on all the items that I have purchased.. the family got 3 iphone 3gs's recently and i figured that at ATT it would cost ~90 for each of us to buy one case each so i came online and found this vendor. ordered a lotta cases for the cost of 1 ATT case and am very happy with my choice. this case is smooth to the touch and fitted the 3gs perfectly. it also came with a cover for the iphone as did all the other cases. delivery was prompt - received in 2 days. can't complain and saved a lotta money too!

Great Case
Received the case a few weeks ago and love it. I have a lot of friends with more expensive cases, but this one was cheaper and better. It's soft to the touch yet hard enough that it fits perfectly and does not stretch or will not let dirt or crumbs inside the case. Would defiantly recommend to others.

Best Case I have ever owned
This case is undisputedly the best case I have ever owned. Very well designed and nice leather look. I go through cases every couple of months, but this case is designed in a way that handles the rough use I deal it while keeping its great look and form. The rounded cornes and dual magnet design work great to keep the case from catching on items as I pass by them. I had another case that caught on the steering wheel as I got out of the car in a hurry and ripped it to an unusable state. As anyone who has had a leather belt clip case knows, the metal jacketed tip is a great way to keep the belt clip end from fraying and making it difficult to mount the case to your belt.
The price point is also very nice with a better design and quality of materials than cases I have purchased for $35 or more. Another great point is all the little details most case suppliers overlook and are anoying with most cases have been thought about and accounted for in this great design.
This is a great product and I am telling all my friends about it, I believe once you buys yours you will feel the same way.

Good as case but takes forever to recharge
As a case and backup battery this works great. However, I have run into problems recharging the Fuel. According to the website it should recharge an empty iPhone and the battery in about 6 hours. When I try to charge just the case it takes me on average about a day to get it to recharge. I don't know if this is the norm or just my case but something to be aware of.

Amazing battery power!!
I bought this case to take on a trip to Italy. Although not small and sleek this case will provide EXTRA BATTERY LIFE! I used it the entire 9 hour flight watching movies and playing games. I love it and can't complain one bit. I bought it for the 2300ma battery and it's the best at giving you extra juice.

Pretty, but...
Mine was supposed to be Pink and Black, but it was Pink and white... Not sure why, but still good. Doesn't Quite fit the iPhone 3G. Looks awkward, but does the trick.

Outstanding Case
Speck is what it is -- in my opinion one of the best suppliers of things that keep my things from breaking or otherwise getting damaged. I bought this because I already have Spec cases on every MacBook Pro I own (or have owned) and they protect my Macs and keep them looking like new. This case is a typical Speck product -- well designed, easy to use and it does exactly what it promises to do. I really like the new CandyShell because of the soft rubber interior (which I'm sure will cut down on those little scratches you get when taking a case off and reinstalling, and it will certainly provide extra protection). And the hard exterior shell seems like it will be durable and looks great. I have no problem recommending Spec cases for whatever you have, and this is no exception.
